Testing what we’re told is the whole premise of this publication — so when a reader tests us and finds an error, that’s the system working, not a failure of it. Here’s what happens next.

How we correct things

• Typos and formatting.Fixed directly, without a public note — these don’t change what the article says.
• Factual errors.Fixed in the text, with a visible correction note appended to the article stating what was wrong, what it now says, and the date of the correction. We don’t remove or quietly edit substantive errors.
• Errors that change an article’s central claim. Handled the same way, plus a note at the top of the article rather than only at the bottom, so readers who already read it once can find the update.

We don’t unpublish articles to make mistakes disappear. If something was wrong, the corrected record — not a missing page — is the honest version of events.
